Raven Armors
Raven armor is gear for your raven courier.
It changes:
- survivability on landed hits
- hostile detection radius
- payload safety while delivering scrolls
- passive regen behavior
TLDR:
- Netherite = highest survivability/payload safety.
- Gold = strongest dodge + high payload safety.

Equip and remove
Equip
- Craft a Raven Armor item.
- Hold it.
- Right-click your tamed raven.
If another armor is equipped, it is returned to inventory (or dropped if full).
Remove
- Empty hand.
- Sneak + right-click your tamed raven.
What stats mean
- Max Hits: landed hits raven can survive.
- Dodge Chance: chance to avoid hit entirely (base raven is 25%).
- Detection Radius: hostile detection radius in blocks (3D).
- Payload Safety: chance payload stays secure on landed hit.
- Health Regen: passive recovery rate (HP/min).
With Jade installed, crouching while looking at raven exposes full stat details.
DEEP DIVE: hit accounting
- Damage amount does not matter for max-hit counting: one landed hit counts as one.
- Dodged hits count as zero landed hits.
- Payload Safety rolls per landed hit while carrying a scroll.
Armor comparison
Base raven (no armor): 1 Max Hit, 25% dodge, 10 detection, 0% payload safety, 0 regen.
| Armor | Max Hits | Dodge Chance | Detection Radius | Payload Safety | Regen |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Leather | 2 | 35% | 10 | 15% | 2 / min |
| Copper | 3 | 22% | 18 | 35% | 1 / min |
| Iron | 4 | 18% | 16 | 25% | 1 / min |
| Gold | 2 | 42% | 22 | 50% | 3 / min |
| Diamond | 5 | 28% | 14 | 40% | 2 / min |
| Netherite | 6 | 15% | 28 | 70% | 2 / min |
For dangerous delivery routes, Payload Safety usually matters more than raw dodge.
Recipes

FAQ
- Does armor persist on raven?*
Yes. It stays on your raven until swapped/removed. If raven dies, armor drops.
- Does armor prevent all loss?*
No. It reduces risk and changes behavior odds/stats, but does not make raven invulnerable.
